Hi Bob

Thanks for the link but I am afraid it didn't work on my computer. I have also tried to access it through Organfax, same thing, it offers a 'play' facility but nothing happens. I'll try again tomorrow.

Regards

Hi Bob,
I am sorry to say I get the same result as Peter Slack.   Have tried twice, once this afternoon and again this evening - I get the invitation to play screen, click play but nothing happens.
Warmly as usual,   Peter A

To Peter A and Peter S,
Sorry you are unable to receive the Radio Link. I am not positive  but I think you need Adobe Flash Player 10, which Adobe recommend for higher quality sound playback.

Hi Everyone,    I had the same problem as the two Peters yesterday. Tried today, Bob is correct you need the adobe 10. If you right click on the arrow it will bring up the details for changing to the 10.

Kind regards,

Alex.

I have the same problem.  It does not 'Play' .. and I do have Adobe 10 Flash Player installed!  So I have gone via the Adobe link and re-downloaded the latest version 10,0,45,2.  Still doesn't play.

What now?

Hugh

Just like Keith I have had no problem listening to parts one and two. Could it be that for once Vista has succeeded where others have failed?

Best wishes

Adding to the positive responses - plays OK under my Windows XP Professional OS and Internet Explorer browser, initial delay when first opening but no other problem once it starts running. Problems could be with the "browser" and/or settings. I understand different operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac) and different browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera etc.) require different versions of Adobe Flash Player 10 -  for most (not all) versions of Windows and Internet Explorer it is version 10.0.45.2 - worth checking!

Great link, great programme and a good alternative to "The Organist Entertains" which, I'm afraid, is sounding a little tired these days. I've had no trouble with the link on my computer which is running on XP (Professional).

For those like myself who are still unable to 'play' the new organfax radio show. I have received the following email from the Organfax team, which eventually may prove to be helpful.

Peter S

Hi Peter,

Many thanks for your email and feedback.  Sorry that some of you are having trouble accessing the site.  I can't really understand why some are having trouble so I have our technical lead looking into it to see if he can shed some light.

I will get back to you with out thoughts as soon as possible.

Kind regards, Marie

Myself and many other organ enthusiasts from a web based organ forum known as the \'AR Group\' have tried without succes to listen to this program. It seems that many members can access the station, whilst many can\'t. Are you able to advise. I myself am using Windows Vista. Your reply will be posted to the group to hopefully help all.

Many thanks - Peter Slack

For those like myself that were unable to access 'Organfax Radio' ........all seems to be working fine now.

I enjoyed the show and the lively banter between the two co-hosts, Brett Wales and Chris Powell. Listen out for a fantastic performance by Howard Beaumont on the Key B organ, and a superb recording of 'Out Of Africa' by Tim Flint, in part two..

There is a competition to judge whether or not the pipe organ played by Brian Sharp is real or an electronic immitation. My money is on it being a real pipe organ........it certainly sounds good to me.

Is it just me left now?  Nothing plays!  I get the screen with a 'playing' arrow in the middle of the screen.  I click on this and ... NOTHING!

I am using Window XP 'Home Edition'.

You're not alone!  I get the same result and I too am using windows xp home edition. As compensation I am enjoying listening to a tape of a mighty Wurlitzer. Wonderful!
