Here is my take. Don't criticise me for spelling!
"What do you do?" she asked.
I said, "I'm a coder for an I.T. company."
"What else?" she asked.
I said, "I play quiet, quite often Bach preludes."
But then, I didn't know what else to ask her.
I can't handle small talk, it's not my forte.
I felt so flat, like running away and hiding.
Finally, I asked, "What did you do today?"
"I took my niece to crèche," she said, "and then I went shopping."
